Black and White Old Maps is a printed paper accessory for a diorama with designs of black and white old maps. It is not a model and not a waterslide decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet takes care of the detail that is most visible in a scene and at the same time hardest to make: printed paper. The black and white old maps can be used on the wall of an improvised staff post, on a table, in a shelf, on the hood of a vehicle, or simply as a folded sheet in a figure's hand. The material is paper, so the work is trimming and gluing, not floating off in water.
The name gives 1:24, 1:35 and 1:72 scale, so the sheet is meant as a universal source of designs for scenes of different sizes. What matters is the ratio of the size of the map to the figure: a map spread open should be roughly large enough for a figure to hold it in both hands. Hold the design up against the model before you trim it. Plan the layout of the trim according to the actual print.
It is worth thinning the cut part from behind with abrasive paper so that it does not form a step once it is glued down. It is glued with PVA glue applied sparingly; for very small parts matte glue applied with a wooden stick is enough. Go over the white edges after cutting with a pencil or a colored pencil. You get the impression of used paper by crumpling it and carefully flattening it again, bringing out the creases gently with a dry brush and stippling a weak brown shade along the edges. Paper soaked with water curls, so work with thinned paints and in layers. A final matte varnish blends the surface with the rest of the diorama.
This is a printed paper accessory for a diorama, not a model and not a decal. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package.
