A set of photo-etched parts for detailing models of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force equipment in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photo-etched parts replace elements on a model that cannot be made thin enough in injection-molded plastic. Metal holds its shape even at a small thickness, so the edges look sharp and the detail comes closer to reality. This set is intended for finishing models of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) equipment in 1:24 scale.
The classification among photo-etched parts is documented by the way they are made: the elements are etched into thin sheet and joined to the fret by tiny tabs. Which specific vehicles and which kit the parts belong to is not given by the name, and neither is their number or their size; those details are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Compare them with the model you are building before you buy.
Separate the part with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than with nippers, then level the remnant of the tab with a file. Make the bends over a straight edge or in a photo-etch bender, always in a single movement, because repeated bending fatigues the metal and the part breaks. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with epoxy, applied in a tiny amount with a pin. Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer made for metal, otherwise the layer of paint rubs off easily.
A set of photo-etched parts is supplied. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
