This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Aoshima captures the Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) sports car in the type IV version in the form of a Japanese police patrol car, in 1:24 scale. The kit contains special police parts, a light bar, aluminum wheels, decals and masks for the windows.
The Mazda RX-7 of the FD3S generation is a sports coupe with a Wankel rotary engine. The type IV version was the only FD3S form deployed by the Japanese police as a patrol car, and only in small numbers at the end of the 1990s. Its low, aerodynamically clean silhouette makes the car a striking subject.
Sand the body down, spray a base coat and the color and finish with a gloss clear coat. Apply the police livery as decals onto a smooth gloss base. Use the enclosed masks for masking the window frames, and paint the light bar and the accessories with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
