The richer form of the masking set for the Hurricane Mk IIC in 1:24: besides a pair of shapes for the glazing it holds five parts for national insignia.
Responsibility details are not available.
British markings went through several changes during the war and the IIC version caught the most varied stage of all. The circular markings were used in versions with and without a white ring, on the upper surface of the wing a two-color form without the outer ring became established, while the fuselage received a form with a slim yellow outline. A vertical stripe on the tail belongs with them and on many machines a light band around the rear fuselage as well.
Spraying these markings instead of using decals has two advantages. The paint settles on the surface without the glossy step a decal always creates, and the marking does not ripple over riveted seams or over the covering of the rear fuselage, where a film would behave unpredictably on a fabric surface. Anyone building a machine from a particular theater should check the set of markings against a period photograph, because it differed with the period and with the area of deployment.
This item is the more generous of the pair of offerings for the same machine. Beside the pair of shapes that protect the glass from both sides it brings five parts intended precisely for the circular markings and the supplementary insignia.
Apply the colors in order from the lightest, that is first the white base area, once dry the red center and finally the blue ring. Let each layer go off, or a run will appear under the edge of the shape.
