Very fine hex rivets from the Japanese brand Top Studio 0.6 mm in diameter in a golden brass finish. It is not a model or a kit, but supplementary detailing parts intended for fitting onto a part-built model of a car or a motorcycle. The number in the name gives the diameter of the head of the rivet, not a scale, so the set is not tied to one particular kit.
Six tenths of a millimeter is one of the smallest sizes of the whole range, which starts at 0.5 mm and ends at 1.0 mm. Rivets of this diameter are aimed at the places where thicker hardware would come across as coarse: the instrument panel and the center console, the mounting of the seats and of safety features, small covers and caps, the panels of the front hood on models in the smaller automobile scales. It is precisely in the interior, which is examined from close up, that fineness makes the difference.
The range is made in three versions, A, B and C, which differ in the shape of the head of the rivet. Version B, unlike version A, is available in a brass as well as a silver shade, so you can choose the same shape in two color variants. The exact shape of the head of the individual versions is shown by the packaging of the set. On one model it is recommended to keep to one version.
At this size the work goes badly without optics, so count on a magnifier or a head-mounted magnification. The rivets can hardly be picked up from the fingers at all, so use fine tweezers or a dampened toothpick, on the tip of which a small part will hold. Pre-drill the hole with a micro drill bit and level the head flush with the panel before the glue dries. Dose a drop of super glue with a wire, as on a part of this size a truly minute amount is enough and an excess would flood the head and the detail would disappear.
This is not a kit of a model, but supplementary parts. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
