A kit of the Japanese Mazda RX-7 sports coupe in 1:24 scale, in the guise designated KAI.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mazda RX-7 is a Japanese sports coupe that won its reputation above all through its powerplant: instead of an ordinary piston engine it is driven by a Wankel rotary engine. Against a piston engine of comparable power it is smaller and lighter, so it could be mounted low and well behind the front axle. The car is therefore balanced differently from its rivals, and its behavior in corners is to this day the reason modelers and drivers alike pick it. It was built in three generations, which differ from one another in the shape of the body and in the treatment of the headlights.
The 1:24 scale is the most widespread for models of passenger cars, so the finished vehicle is easily stood beside the other pieces in a collection. The model comes out roughly eighteen centimeters long. The KAI designation in the name sets a guise apart within the manufacturer's range; what exactly it takes in, what the number of parts is and whether decals or parts for more than one variant are included are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are joined with cement intended for plastic kits. Wash and degrease them before painting, as fingerprints show up immediately under the paint on a body. Spray the body in thin coats with enough time between them; for a saturated metallic shade several thin coats are always better than one heavy one. Glue the glazing last of all and only with a cyanoacrylate glue intended for clear parts, as ordinary cement will fog it.
For builders of Japanese sports cars and collectors in 1:24 scale. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
