1:24 Muscle Man posing is a figure of a muscular man posing, from the manufacturer MAiM in 1:24 scale, a self-confident bodybuilding pose for beach, gym and street scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The posing strongman from the civilian Muscle Man range by the manufacturer MAiM is showing his muscles to the world, and that is exactly how to work with him in a diorama. The self-confident pose makes the figure a natural center of attention around which a whole humorous or genre vignette in 1:24 scale can be built.
A beach pier, an outdoor gym, a car meeting where more than just the machinery is on show, or the pavement in front of a fitness center: a posing figure fits all of them. The joke comes from contrast, so let the strongman pose in front of an indifferent audience, beside a small figure or by a car that is visibly stealing his attention. Combined with the seated and leaning colleagues from the same range it makes a complete little crowd.
Clean the casting up, wash it and prime it. Well-developed musculature is the ideal canvas for working with light and shadow: darker tones in the hollows between the muscles, gentle highlighting of the raised areas and, at the end, a very discreet satin finish on the skin to suggest a tan. Oil paints allow particularly smooth transitions here.
The figure is supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up and painted. Props and a base are not included in the package.
