This Fujimi kit in 1:24 scale captures the classic Skyline 2000GT sports sedan with the type designation 54A/54B. The package holds injection-molded plastic parts, clear glazing, a decal sheet and an enclosed commemorative plate issued for the anniversary of the Skyline line. The model is meant to be assembled and painted.
The Skyline 2000GT (type S54) of the mid-1960s is regarded as the predecessor of the later legendary GT-R cars. With a lengthened front end holding an inline six-cylinder engine, it made its name in Japanese motorsport and laid the foundations of the sporting tradition of the Skyline. The 54A and 54B versions differed in the level of power and of sporting equipment.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Treat the body with primer and paint it with an airbrush; a gloss clear coat will bring out the period look of the sedan. Chrome trim strips, wire wheels and the interior will complete the faithful historical impression. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
