The injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya captures the light sports coupe Toyota 86 in 1:24 scale. The model faithfully reproduces the dynamic lines of the body, a detailed flat four-cylinder boxer engine, the suspension and the interior, while the front wheels can be steered. Metal-plated parts of the wheels, the headlights and the exhaust tips are completed by emblems and mirror surfaces rendered as metal transfers.
The Toyota 86 was introduced in 2012 as a light sports coupe with rear-wheel drive. It came about in cooperation between the Toyota and Subaru brands and was powered by a flat two-liter four-cylinder boxer engine. It was aimed at a pure driving experience and low weight.
Build the detailed engine in subassemblies and paint it before closing the body. Finish the body with an airbrush over a primer and with a gloss clear coat. Add the metal-plated parts and the metal transfers of the emblems at the end so that they are not damaged.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
