A plastic kit of the Toyota Sports 800 in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. This is a modified version with the designation Sukebou-komachi from the series Yoroshiku Mecha-doc — a Japanese tuning manga of the 1980s in which this tiny classic sports car also found its place.
The Sports 800 is the marque's first production sports car, built in the second half of the 1960s. The miniature coupe with a curb weight of around half a ton is powered by a small air-cooled flat-twin of just under 0.8 liters — thanks to its low weight and excellent aerodynamics the car earned a reputation as a nimble and economical racer. A characteristic feature is the removable roof panel. In Japan it is a beloved classic with the nickname Yota-Hachi.
The small rounded body comes out well after careful sanding and a gloss clear coat; on a custom version do not be afraid of bolder shades. Pick out the chrome detail of the bumpers and the handles with metallic colors and a brush. The smaller dimensions of the model reward patient work with tweezers on the small parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
