This is a photo-etched metal detail set of fenders for models in 1:25 scale from the maker Aber. It is not a standalone kit of a vehicle but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic fenders with accurate metal parts with a faithful thickness and a fine relief. The set is intended for building the Panther Ausf.G tank and the Jagdpanther tank destroyer derived from it.
The Panther Ausf.G was the final main production variant of the German medium tank of the Second World War, with sloped armor and the 7.5 cm KwK 42 L/70 gun. The Jagdpanther, with a tank destroyer gun in a fixed superstructure, was built on the same chassis. The fenders of the real vehicles were of thin sheet and were often damaged or bent.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends over a metal ruler or in a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Metal fenders are easy to shape into realistic dents and damage, which comes into its own once washes and pigments have been applied.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
