A photo-etched metal detail set of side armor skirts (Schürzen) for models in 1:25 scale from the maker Aber. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an accessory replacing the plastic skirts with thin metal parts. The set is intended for the early and middle variants of the Panther tank, the Ausf.D and the Ausf.A.
The Panther Ausf.D was the first version taken into combat and the Ausf.A was its improvement with a new commander's cupola. The side skirts of thin sheet protected the lower sides of the hull and the running gear; in the field they were often missing or damaged, which photo-etched metal makes it possible to imitate faithfully.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The metal skirts can be bent or partly removed realistically. Bring out the rust and the scuffs with pigments and washes.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
