Galaxy Express 999 Space Pirate Battleship Arcadia is a plastic kit of the pirate spaceship in 1:2500 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the battle spaceship Arcadia in the form based on the world of Galaxy Express 999, in 1:2500 scale from the Japanese company Hasegawa. The smaller scale makes the model a rewarding display piece that does not take up much room and yet keeps the characteristic silhouette of the ship. The number of parts, the exact contents of the package and the extent of the decals are stated on the box and in the enclosed instructions.
The Arcadia is the flagship of Captain Harlock from the work of the Japanese author Leiji Matsumoto. She reaches into the world of Galaxy Express 999 as a related motif of the same authorial universe, and her design differs between the individual treatments in details of the superstructures, the stern and the bow. It is a fictional vessel, not real equipment, so historical accuracy does not have to be dealt with here.
In a small scale what decides the result is the cleanliness of the surface: fill and sand the gaps carefully, otherwise a dark finish will pick them out. Paint with an airbrush in thin coats and finish the small details with a fine brush. It is enough to suggest the engraved lines with a thinned paneliner, as a heavy wash would needlessly dirty a model in this scale. Apply the decals onto a gloss base and fix them with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
