A specialty in the Aviattic range: a sheet in 1:28 scale with the so-called pale reversed form of the polygon pattern — a lightened and mirrored version of the four-color and five-color camouflage for the upper and lower surfaces alike. It reproduces what was seen from the reverse side of printed fabric.
Camouflage fabric was printed only on the face side, so from the inside the pattern showed through as a pale, mirrored imprint. On large models with an open cockpit, removed panels or an exposed fuselage interior it is precisely this detail that is visible — and an ordinary face sheet would look wrong on the inner surfaces. Lightened mirrored printing gives the interior an authenticity that every informed viewer notices. On competition models it is often the well worked out interior that decides the jury's overall impression.
The inner surfaces tend to be intricate, so cut the decal into smaller pieces and let a softener wrap it around the stiffeners and the longerons. A light base will keep the paleness of the printing; protect the finished surface with a gently matte varnish.
A decal sheet is an add-on to a model — the kit is not included in the package.
