This set is not a model of an airplane but decals in 1:32 scale. They reproduce the narrow rib tapes which on aircraft of the First World War covered the stitching of the fabric along the ribs. The tapes carry the five-color polygonal camouflage pattern known as lozenge. The decals are applied over surfaces covered with lozenge printing and fill in a characteristic detail. The manufacturer is the Czech firm HGW.
German aircraft of the First World War often used factory-printed cloth with a regular diamond lozenge pattern in several colors. The stitching of the covering along the ribs was overlaid with narrow tapes of the same cloth, which on the finished machine formed visible lengthwise lines.
Apply the tapes to a smooth, varnished base, best of all one already carrying the lozenge pattern, and do so with a decal softener for adhesion to the shape. Take care to run them parallel along the ribs and to overlap the leading and trailing edges.
This is a decorative accessory, not a model in its own right. The package does not contain the base kit, glue or paints, unless stated otherwise.
