A set of 5 Colour Lozenge Rib Tape wet transfers from HGW in 1:32 scale. It contains narrow rib tapes (Rippenbänder) in a five-color lozenge pattern that were used on the real aircraft to cover the stitching of the fabric to the ribs of the wings and the tail surfaces.
Lozenge was a German factory camouflage fabric with a multicolor pattern of diamonds. Once a wing had been covered, the fabric was stitched to the ribs and the seams were then covered with narrow tapes of the same cloth. This transfer carries exactly those tapes in the five-color variant.
It is a wet transfer (slide transfer) that is released from the backing in lukewarm water and transferred onto the surface of the model. Apply it onto a smooth, gloss-varnished base, press out the air bubbles and help it settle with a decal softener and a setting solution so that it beds down into the details as well. Once dry, go over it with matte varnish.
The transfer is a modeling accessory, not an aircraft kit. Paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
