A set of painting masks, A-10 Thunderbolt II masks, in 1:32 from Eduard. It is a modeling accessory for masking the canopy glazing and the wheels, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely cut Eduard painting masks in 1:32, intended for the A-10 Thunderbolt II type. The masks are in thin kabuki paper with a sensitive adhesive; they follow the shape of the canopy framing and the other glazed surfaces, and in aircraft sets usually the wheel discs as well. It is neither a kit nor parts of a model, but an accessory obtained separately alongside the base model.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American ground-attack aircraft intended for close support of ground troops and for fighting armored vehicles. The whole fuselage is built around the barrels of a massive rotary cannon; the aircraft is tough and able to operate from forward bases. Its nickname is Warthog.
Lift the mask carefully off the backing, lay it on a clean area of glazing and press it down. Fill in the straight gaps between the frames with an offcut of masking tape or with liquid mask. Then spray the shade of the frame, let it dry and take the masks off while the paint is fresh, so that the edges stay crisp. The masks speed up masking markedly and give clean, accurate lines on the framing without tedious measuring of tape.
The masks are a modeling accessory, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
