Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of external stores in the large 1:32 scale from the Czech brand Brengun. This is not a kit of an aircraft, but a separate accessory depicting the AGM-45 Shrike anti-radiation guided missile. The same name appears with sets of other brands as well; this item is from Brengun. The number of pieces in the package and the presence of mounts are stated on the box of the set.
The AGM-45 Shrike belongs among the first stores introduced in production intended for suppressing ground radars. It homed passively on the emission of a radar, which brought two practical characteristics with it: the seeker head had to be fitted for the given frequency range before the flight, and once the radar was switched off the missile lost its source of guidance. In shape it is a slender body with a cruciform arrangement of surfaces at the front and at the rear, which is clearly legible in 1:32 scale and comes across on a model as a pronounced feature.
In a large scale every imperfection is visible, so after cutting the casting block off level the area carefully and sand it over wet with gradually finer grits until it is smooth. Washing with detergent before painting is necessary with resin, otherwise the paint peels. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate and spray the whole store separately from the aircraft, as it is fitted only to a finished model. Make sharp color transitions with masking tape. Any small markings look better as a decal than painted with a brush, because a large scale does not forgive imprecision.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
