The photo-etched set Albatros D.V / D.Va Radiator in 1:32 scale from HGW brings brass parts for a faithful rendering of the radiator of this German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an airplane model but a brass photo-etched set in 1:32 scale aimed at the radiator. It holds fine metal parts for a detailed rendering of the radiator of the German fighter Albatros D.V and its D.Va version. Photo-etch captures the structure of the cooling fins and the grille faithfully, which cannot be cast in plastic.
The Albatros D.V and D.Va were German single-seat fighter aircraft of 1917 and 1918, recognizable by their elegant oval monocoque fuselage. They were powered by a water-cooled Mercedes inline engine and their radiator was usually recessed into the upper wing. They were among the most widespread German fighters of the second half of the First World War.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the fine bends over the scored lines. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The cooling grille comes out well once painted in metallic shades and brought out lightly with a wash.
This is an accessory for raising the level of detail of a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
