A Reskit 1:32 resin exhaust nozzle for the BAC Lightning F1, F2, T4 and F2A versions replaces the simplified part from a kit. The nozzles are intended for the Trumpeter kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a replacement part, not a kit of the aircraft. The set is intended for a model of the British BAC Lightning interceptor in the F1, F2, T4 and F2A versions in 1:32 scale. The parts are cast in resin. They follow on from the Trumpeter kit.
The Lightning had two engines mounted one above the other, so at the rear it has a pair of nozzles one above the other — it is one of the most characteristic places on the whole aircraft and there is no avoiding it on a model. The F1, F2, T4 and F2A versions named form one developmental group with a common rear-end arrangement, whereas the later machines have a different one. That is exactly why the manufacturer divides the nozzles into two separate sets and the one matching the version being built has to be chosen.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent — paint does not hold on remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, not with nippers. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Try the nozzle dry before gluing: the rear end of a model is often completed alongside other modifications and the order of work is worth planning. When painting, a darker shade inside the duct and metallic tones on the outer casing help.
This is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
