Reskit 1:32 resin exhaust nozzles for the F-14A in the closed position replace the plastic parts and match a parked machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane kit but a replacement part. The set holds resin exhaust nozzles for a model of the F-14A in 1:32 scale, and specifically in the closed position.
A variable nozzle changes its cross section according to the engine setting, so its position on a model says something about the situation you are depicting the machine in. A closed, that is, narrowed nozzle matches a stationary airplane with its engines shut down or idling — typically a model on an apron, on a deck or in a diorama with a parked machine. The open position, by contrast, belongs with full thrust. The manufacturer therefore offers the positions as separate items, and you need to choose the one that suits the scene you are building. In the large 1:32 scale the difference is apparent at first glance, because the nozzle is several centimeters across on the model.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap so that the remains of mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw rather than nippers and level the face by sanding wet with respiratory protection. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue. Try the fit dry before gluing. A closed nozzle is particularly rewarding to paint: the petals overlap, so heat discoloration and a gentle lifting of the edges with a dry brush come out well.
This is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
