A photo-etched set from Eduard in 1:32 scale for refining the outer, exterior details of the modern F-35A Lightning II fighter. It is not an airplane model but a set of fine metal parts to be built into a plastic kit.
The F-35A is a single-seat multirole fighter of the so-called fifth generation with features that reduce its radar signature. The A version is meant for conventional takeoff and landing from a fixed runway and is the most widespread variant of the Lightning II family.
The etching supplies fine outer features, such as small plates, covers, grilles and small stiffeners, which do not stand out on bare plastic. Cut the parts off at the fret, form the bends over a bending tool and glue with super glue. Degrease the bare parts before painting and spray them with a base coat.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
