Beware of a mix-up: this set is the FAB-500 M type, different in shape from the later aerodynamic M-62 version. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the underwing stores.

The real subject and what the set is for

The FAB-500 is a family of Soviet five-hundred-kilogram high-explosive fragmentation bombs, and the M version represents the older body shape used by tactical aviation. The resin castings have clean shapes and sharply drawn detail on the body and the fins.

Usage tips

Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and level the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue the halves of the body and the fins with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and fill the seams. Apply a primer and paint according to the scheme you choose.
