Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:32 capturing a French airman of the First World War leaning into the cockpit and checking the instruments before takeoff. The pose is intended so that the figure completes a finished aircraft model and the scene gains action. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is not a finished painted figure.
With the machines of the First World War the preflight inspection was a purely manual matter. The pilot checked the state of the instruments, the fuel pressure, the operation of the controls and the mounting of the armament, because in an open cockpit nothing fundamental could be put right in flight. The flying dress of the day was made up of a leather or canvas coverall, a leather helmet, goggles and gloves.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw and sand the surfaces wet, with protection for your airways. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Given the forward lean of the figure, we recommend trying the fit dry against the edge of the model's cockpit first. After the primer, paint with a brush; bring the leather of the flying dress out with dry-brushing and a light wash, and build the face up in layers from a darker base.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
