This detail set opens up the space of the onboard armament in the wing of a model of the carrier-based Vought F4U-1D Corsair fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale. It replaces the closed section of the wing with faithfully cast resin parts that make it possible to display the gun armament and the related equipment with the service panels open. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit for experienced modelers. The manufacturer is the Czech company Aires.
The Vought F4U-1D Corsair was an American single-seat carrier-based fighter aircraft of the Second World War with a characteristic gull wing and a radial engine. The armament was housed in the wings, so an open gun bay is a technically interesting diorama element of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the inner space and give it a patina before closing the wing.
