The set holds a fine resin pitot tube for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the A-2 to A-6 versions in 1:32 scale. The thin part replaces the easily damaged plastic part of the kit and looks more faithful thanks to its delicate shape. It is not a model of the whole aircraft.
The Fw 190 is a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The early versions of the A series (A-2 to A-6) were powered by the BMW 801 radial engine. The pitot tube served for measuring speed and was placed on the leading edge of the wing.
The tube is delicate and fragile, so handle it carefully. Wash it free of mold release residue, cut it off the casting block carefully and glue it with super glue. Fit it only at the end of the build, so that it does not get damaged.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
