Responsibility details are not available.
A separate modeling figure cast from resin in 1:32. It depicts the second crew member of the German twin-engine Gotha bomber of the time of the First World War in the flying dress of the day. It serves as an accessory to a large aircraft model or to a diorama, where it will give the scene a scale comparison and a story. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not part of the package.
The crew of the heavy Gotha bombers worked in open cockpits without any protection from the cold and the airflow. The standard kit was therefore a long leather coverall or coat, a leather helmet, protective goggles and heavy gloves. In the large scale of 1:32 the texture of the leather, the folds of the cloth and the expression of the face are clearly legible on the casting, which makes the figure a pronounced element of the whole scene.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent because of the remains of mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the traces of them down; when sanding, use protection for your airways. Super glue (cyanoacrylate) will secure the joining. Before painting, apply a thin primer, which evens the surface out and improves adhesion. Build the skin up with acrylic paints in layers, and fine-tune the shadows and transitions with oil paints. A final matte coat plays down the sheen of the resin.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
