Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-1b fighter in the small 1:144 scale from the manufacturer Armory. The essential advantage of the package is that it contains two complete models at once, so you can build a pair of aircraft or keep one in reserve. The set is supplemented with photo-etched parts and clear cockpit parts; the exact contents depend on the particular release.
The Yak-1 was among the first modern Soviet fighters of the Second World War and became the basis of the whole successful Yakovlev family of aircraft. The Yak-1b version brought a number of improvements, among them a lowered fuselage spine and a lightened canopy with a better view to the rear. The light and agile machine of mixed construction proved itself in the fighting on the Eastern Front and foreign pilots in Soviet service took a liking to it as well.
In 1:144 scale work precisely and with a fine cement for plastic; glue the tiny photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. A base coat of primer and an airbrush with fine thinning work best so that the details are not lost. Soviet camouflage is brought out by a gentle lightening of the panels and by discreet weathering; apply the decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
