Aviattic 1:32 Italian pilot or observer 1916 to 1918, standing: an unpainted resin figure of an airman of the Italian air service of the First World War, an ideal companion to large models of Great War machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
This unpainted figure from the manufacturer Aviattic captures an airman of the Italian air service from the years 1916 to 1918 in a standing pose. The 1:32 scale sits exactly with large models of First World War aircraft, because a figure beside a machine creates a human scale at once and turns a model on its own into a small story.
The Italian air service went through rapid development during the Great War, from reconnaissance and bombing units to fighter squadrons fighting over the Alps and the Piave river. The crews were made up of pilots and of observers of two-seat machines, dressed in the flying overalls and the gear of the period, adapted to the cold at higher altitudes.
First wash the casting in warm soapy water, remove the remains of the casting blocks and sand the fine seams down. Join the parts with super glue and give the whole a coat of primer. For painting, acrylics combined with oil paints for the skin and for soft transitions on leather and textile have proved themselves; a final matte clear coat evens the surface out.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
