Eduard 1:32 Kittyhawk Mk. I/Mk. III gun bay is a photo-etched set for detailing the gun bay of a model of the Curtiss Kittyhawk fighter. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard focused on the gun bay of a model of the Curtiss Kittyhawk fighter in 1:32 scale. The metal parts make it possible to open and faithfully equip the space of the machine gun armament in the wing. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The parts supplement and refine the inner structure of the gun bay, the mountings of the weapons, the panels and the small features that come into view on a model with the bay open. They make it possible to create an effective diorama or a model showing the inner arrangement of the wing.
Kittyhawk is the Allied designation of the later versions of the American Curtiss P-40 fighter. This single-engine all-metal aircraft of the Second World War carried machine gun armament in the wings and was deployed above all in North Africa and the Pacific.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade, form the bends with a bending tool and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a glue for etching. We recommend planning the exposed bay before gluing, so that the plastic and the metal parts follow one another. Once painted, the contrast between the space and the surface comes out well.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
