A resin ejection seat with the seat belts cast directly into the relief, for a kit of the Vought F-8 Crusader carrier fighter in 1:32 scale from the Czech brand Quickboost (a production line of the Aires company). It is not a model of the airplane but a detail accessory for the cockpit that takes the place of the bare plastic seat from the kit. The belts are part of the casting, so they add realistic detail with no need for photo-etched parts.
The Vought F-8 Crusader was an American supersonic carrier fighter of the Cold War, renowned for the unusual variable-incidence wing. It was flown by the US Navy and the Marine Corps, among other things during the war in Vietnam, and earned the nickname the Last of the Gunfighters, the last pure gun fighter. A faithful ejection seat lifts the detail of the cockpit.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release residue and separate them carefully from the casting block; do the sanding with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the seat separately before fitting it: the base, the shades of the cushion and the belts, and a fine wash or a dry brush to pick out the relief.
This is a resin accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
