Tamiya 1:35 U.S. Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 Awaiting Orders is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American self-propelled gun with an open turret and three figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M8 self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale from the brand Tamiya, complemented by a set of three figures in a scene of waiting for orders. The model reproduces the open turret with room for the gun crew, the sights and the seats, faithful welds and rivets, and tracks made from one-piece flexible track runs.
The M8 was the first American fully tracked self-propelled howitzer. It used the chassis of the M5 light tank, on which it carried an open turret with a 75 mm howitzer and a heavy machine gun. Around 1800 were built and it went into action from the middle of the war as fire support.
The open turret invites careful building and painting of the interior before it is finished. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and apply the olive shade with an airbrush over a filler primer. Paint the figures separately, bring out the interior and the armament with a wash and suggest dust with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
