It is neither a kit nor accessory parts: it is the basis for painting and marking an already built model of the Lockheed T-33 jet trainer in 1:32 scale. The real subject

The Lockheed T-33 is a two-seat jet trainer derived from the P-80 Shooting Star fighter, lengthened to take a second seat for the instructor. It was built in large numbers, including under license outside the United States, and with a number of air forces it served for several decades as the basic machine for converting to jet equipment. It is precisely the long service with many users that makes it a rewarding subject for colors and markings sets: the same airframe wore very different finishes, from bare metal to striking training and liaison schemes. The Thunderbird designation in the name refers to a particular finish of the machine.

Tips for applying the decals

Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface — a matte varnish holds air under the film and silvering results. Cut them out as closely as possible, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and let them release on paper, not in the water. On complex surfaces a softener helps, and once dry wipe the excess adhesive off with a damp cloth. Finally, unify everything with a varnish to the degree of gloss you want. In 1:32 scale the decals are large and sensitive to creasing, so carry them on a soft brush and position them with plenty of water.
