The photo-etched detail set HGW 1:32 LVG C.VI with a decal sheet adds to a large-scale model of the German reconnaissance biplane the fine metal parts that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model of the airplane. It is intended for a large-scale model of the German two-seat reconnaissance biplane the LVG C.VI of the First World War in 1:32 scale. The package combines photo-etched metal parts with an accompanying decal sheet, which adds the dials of the instruments and the small markings in the cockpit.
The LVG C.VI was a German two-seat armed reconnaissance and observation biplane of the end of the First World War. Its crew consisted of a pilot and an observer-gunner; it was powered by an inline six. The machine was widely deployed on the Western Front for reconnaissance, directing artillery and light bombing.
The photo-etched parts are of thin sheet, brass or steel, on a common fret. Cut the individual parts off with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend the folds exactly along the marked lines, best of all in a bending tool or on a straight blade. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); on larger surfaces a two-part epoxy can be used for a longer time to position the part. Degrease the flat sheet before painting and apply a thin layer of primer, so that the fine relief stays sharp.
This is not a complete model of the airplane. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit; it serves as a detail accessory to a base model.
