New Ware Me 262 B-1/U-1 EXPERT 1:32 painting masks

A set of accurate self-adhesive masks of thin washi (kabuki) tape from New Ware. They serve for quick, clean masking of the canopy glazing, the wheels and other details of the model when spraying with an airbrush or with a brush. The material follows the shape well, holds along the edge of the engraved lines and leaves no adhesive residue once peeled off. The EXPERT level is the most complete variant: besides masking the canopy on the outside it also takes in the inner faces of the glazing and the small features.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the world's first jet fighter to go into operational service. The two-seat B-1/U-1 version was a night fighter fitted with airborne radar and a second crew member as its operator, sent up at the end of the Second World War to defend against night raids.

Use

• Clean and degrease the glazing, move the mask with tweezers and press it down along the engraved edges.
• Spray in thin coats so that the paint does not bleed under the edge of the mask.
• Peel the masks off shortly after the paint has dried, while the coat is still flexible.
• Suitable for sharp color transitions on the canopy frames and on small clear areas.
