MiG-21 U/US/UM (Mongol) turned pitot tube 1:32 replaces the plastic part from a kit of the two-seat MiG trainer with a stronger and more accurate metal part.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not a model of an aircraft but a metal detail accessory for a kit of the two-seat MiG-21 trainer in 1:32 scale. It contains a turned pitot tube. Turned metal has a faithful shape and above all far greater strength than the long and easily broken plastic part on the tip of a model.
The MiG-21 U, US and UM, known as the Mongol, were the two-seat trainer variants of the widespread Soviet MiG-21 fighter. They served to train pilots and kept the flying qualities of the combat versions. The individual sub-versions differed in the cockpit, the instructor's view and the equipment.
You cut off the plastic pitot tube and replace it with the metal part, ideally into a pre-drilled hole. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Fit the long tube at the end of the build so that it does not get bent during handling and clear coating. Degrease the metal before painting.
The accessory needs a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
