This is not an airplane kit but a supplementary set from GasPatch models. The package holds four resin castings of the German MK 108 aircraft autocannon in 1:32 scale. The set serves to replace or refine the armament of plastic models on which this weapon was carried.
The MK 108 was a German 30 mm aircraft autocannon of the Second World War. It was made by Rheinmetall-Borsig and was designed as a heavy weapon against Allied bombers — its explosive shells could bring a large aircraft down with only a few hits. The weapon was fairly short and light, with a high rate of fire, and it was fitted to a range of German fighters and night fighters.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal shade of the barrel and the breech comes out well with steel tones and subsequent highlighting with a fine wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
