The decal sheet Begemot 1:32 Nieuport 11 Bébé in the First World War with markings for three machines of the Imperial Russian Air Service. These are decals, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from the Russian manufacturer Begemot for models of the Nieuport 11 Bébé fighter in 1:32 scale. The package contains the decals themselves and color instructions with the schemes; the model itself is not part of the delivery. The sheet is focused on machines of the Imperial Russian Air Service from the period of the First World War.
The set brings markings for three aircraft of a unit of the Imperial Russian Air Service whose machines carried a striking skull emblem on the vertical tail surface. The decals are laid out on one larger and one smaller sheet and are accompanied by multi-page color instructions with views of the individual schemes. The marking motif differs between the individual machines in placement as well as in color, so three distinctly different models can be built from one sheet.
The Nieuport 11 was a French single-seat fighter aircraft with a rotary engine and with a so-called sesquiplane arrangement of the lifting surfaces, in which the lower wing is markedly narrower than the upper one. For its small size it was given the nickname Bébé. It was built and used in several countries including Russia, where it was also built under license.
Always apply the decals onto gloss varnish and never onto a matte surface, otherwise a whitish veil will appear under the film. Cut the shape out as closely to the print as possible, soak it in warm water and, once slid into place, press it down with a damp cloth. On the fabric surfaces of aircraft of this period a decal softener helps, so that the film adapts to the ribbing. Finally, overvarnish everything with a matte or satin varnish.
The package contains only decals and instructions. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery.
