Photo-etched parts replace simplified plastic elements with thin-walled metal ones that better match the real thickness of the sheet metal, stiffeners and panels. The F-100 Super Sabre was the first American production fighter able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The C version was a single-seat fighter-bomber variant with a wing adapted for internal fuel tanks and with a fixed probe for in-flight refueling, which noticeably widened its range and the scope of its use compared with the first production version.
Cut the parts from the fret on a hard surface with a sharp scalpel, not with cutters. Make the bends in a bending tool or between two razor blades, always along the etched groove. Degrease the metal before gluing and glue with cyanoacrylate or epoxy: cement for plastic does not hold on photo-etch. The plastic elements the photo-etch replaces have to be sanded away first, otherwise the set will not line up. Do not overspray color printed photo-etch, just fix it with a matte varnish.
The set holds photo-etched parts only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
