Eduard 1:32 North American F-100C Super Sabre TFace is a set of self-adhesive painting masks for the cockpit glazing of the American supersonic fighter-bomber. The TFace version reckons with masking from the outside and the inside.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The set contains pre-shaped self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape for covering the glazing of a model of the F-100C in 1:32 scale. The masks follow the course of the frames of the canopy exactly, so that spraying produces a sharp edge without laborious going over with a brush. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Eduard.
The abbreviation TFace says that the set is prepared for both sides of the glazing. In the large 1:32 scale the inner masking shows especially, because the canopy is sizeable and the frames are clearly visible looking inward.
The North American F-100C Super Sabre was an American single-engine supersonic aircraft of the first generation of jet types able to exceed the speed of sound in horizontal flight. It was powered by a Pratt and Whitney J57 engine with an afterburner. Compared with the original fighter variant, the C version was modified for carrying external stores and for refueling in flight.
First wash and degrease the glazing, so that the masks hold. Take the parts up with tweezers and once they are stuck, press them down with a toothpick along the frame. Apply the paint in several thin coats, as otherwise it may run under the edge. Peel the masks off while the paint is not yet fully cured.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
