This is not a kit but an accessory for building a model of the Panavia Tornado ECR in 1:32 scale. The set contains photo-etched metal parts intended for the interior spaces, that is above all for the crew cabin. Plastic can suggest the shape of the instrument panels, the consoles, the levers and the side walls, but never their real thickness and relief. Photo-etched parts even that difference out, which on a two-seat cabin at a large scale tells immediately. The particular contents of the package and the number of parts are stated on the box.
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of a pilot and a systems operator. The ECR version is focused on the suppression of ground radar systems and on electronic combat. The rear station is therefore equipped for operating specialized systems, which makes the cabin an interesting object to detail. In 1:32 scale practically all of it is visible with the canopy open.
Finish and paint the cabin before you glue the fuselage halves together. Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel and make the folds in a bender or between razor blades. Sand the original molded detail off the plastic, so that the photo-etched part sits flush. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue in minute drops applied with a pin. If the set contains pre-painted parts, do not spray over them and do not wash them with aggressive solvents. Finally even the interior out with a dark wash and bring out the edges with a dry brush.
This is an accessory for a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
