This decal set in 1:32 scale brings the markings for several famous Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V fighters flown by fighter aces. It is not a kit but a stand-alone sheet of waterslide decals with which you finish a model that is already built and painted. The sheet contains national insignia, squadron codes and the personal emblems of particular aircraft.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V was the most widespread variant of this British fighter. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and was deployed on most theaters of the Second World War, from the defense of Britain through the Mediterranean and Malta to North Africa. It was on the Mk.V in particular that a number of Allied pilots scored their victories.
Apply the decals onto glossy and smooth clear coat; on a matte surface silvery microbubbles form under the decal. Cut the subject out, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing into place and blot away the excess water. Decal softener will help the markings settle into the details of the surface. Once dry, go over the model with a layer of clear coat, which protects the decals and evens out the sheen.
