GasPatch 1:32 metal turnbuckles type B (30 pcs) are fine metal turnbuckles for the faithful bracing and rigging of First World War biplanes. A rigging accessory, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch holds 30 metal turnbuckles in the type B form for 1:32 scale. The turnbuckles serve for the realistic bracing and rigging of Great War biplanes. This is a detail accessory, not a kit of an airplane.
On the aircraft of the period, turnbuckles were metal couplings with which the bracing wires between the wings and the fuselage were tensioned. The type B form has an attachment eye at one end and a flat plate at the other serving as the anchor point to the airframe. Metal parts are markedly more realistic and more durable than plastic ones or than a merely suggested wire.
The turnbuckles are threaded onto the rigging material (drawn monofilament or elastic thread, for example) and fixed with super glue. Before installation it is a good idea to match the color of the wires and lines to the metal. Patient, clean work makes the whole rigging convincing.
These are metal accessories for rigging, not a complete model. The rigging material, glue and paints are not included in the package.
