The resin detail set Spandau 08/15 with an extended loading handle (2 pieces) in 1:32 scale from GasPatch models — a pair of German First World War aircraft machine guns.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set of a pair of German Spandau LMG 08/15 aircraft machine guns with an extended loading handle, in 1:32 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. This is not an airplane kit but a set of replacement parts that will arm plastic models of First World War fighters faithfully. The machine guns are sharply cast in durable resin.
The Spandau LMG 08/15 was the lightened aircraft variant of the Maxim MG 08 machine gun of rifle caliber 7.92 mm and became the standard fixed armament of German fighters in the second half of the war. The extended loading handle let the pilot cock the weapon directly from the cockpit and clear a jam in flight, which was a common modification on synchronized aircraft machine guns.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting gates off and bond them with super glue. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; bring out the fine relief of the jacket and the loading handle with a wash and a dry brush. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The detail set does not hold an airplane model, glue or paints. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
