A set of scale ammunition in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. It is not a kit but a standalone accessory — a collection of rounds and cartridge cases for the British 17-pounder gun. The set serves to finish off the interior of a vehicle, ammunition stowage or a diorama scene.
The British 17-pounder gun was among the most effective Allied anti-tank guns of the Second World War. It was used as a towed anti-tank gun as well as the main armament of armored vehicles, among them the Sherman Firefly tank. Its rounds were marked by a long cartridge case and a high muzzle velocity, which gave them excellent penetrating power.
Carefully separate the small parts from the sprue gates and clean them up. Paint the cartridge cases in a brass shade and set the projectiles apart with color coding. The ammunition stands out laid out in a scene or in an open ammunition bin.
This is a standalone scale modeling accessory. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
