The subject is a fixed round of 7.5 cm caliber with a shaped-charge projectile for the Kw.K.40 gun and for its Stu.K.40 variant. The set matches both of the barrel lengths these weapons came in, L/43 as well as L/48; the number after the letter L gives the length of the barrel in multiples of the caliber, not the caliber. The Kw.K.40 was the armament of Panzer IV medium tanks from the F2 version, and the Stu.K.40 was carried by the StuG III and StuG IV assault guns.
The abbreviation Hl denotes the shaped charge, which burns through armor with a concentrated jet of material instead of breaking through it by mass and velocity. The effect therefore stays consistent even at longer range. It will find use in an open fighting compartment, in the ammunition bins inside a hull and in a diorama with ammunition being replenished. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
