A set of turned metal barrels for the British First World War Mark IV Male tank in 1:35 scale from the firm Aber. A detail accessory, not a kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of turned metal barrels for the British Mark IV tank in the Male variant, from the First World War period, in 1:35 scale from the firm Aber. It is not a model of the vehicle but a collection of precise metal barrels that replace the plastic parts on a model. It is intended for models of the Mark IV Male tank.
The Mark IV was the key British tank of the First World War. The Male version carried two 6-pounder (57 mm) guns in its side sponsons plus supplementary machine gun armament, unlike the Female version armed only with machine guns. The tank played a significant part in the fighting of 1917, especially at Cambrai.
The turned barrels of both the guns and the machine guns have a faithful bore and muzzle profile, so there is no drilling and no cleaning up of mold seams. Separate the parts from the casting residue, degrease them and attach them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Prime the metal surface before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
