A set of miniature beer glasses in 1:35 scale from the production of Matho Models. It is a diorama prop, not a kit: a small thing that on a table in front of a pub, on a crate by a field kitchen or in the hand of a resting figure creates an immediately legible story. It is precisely such details that decide whether a scene looks like a photograph of life.
The glasses belong everywhere people rest: a pub garden, a kitchen table in an interior, soldiers at rest by their equipment, a celebration in a yard. The subject is timeless; it works in a scene from the first half of the 20th century just as well as in a modern one. Combine them with other small things (crates, chairs, a table) and with figures in relaxed poses; one tipped-over glass will give a scene humor.
Work with the small castings using tweezers and glue them with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue. You will create the impression of a drink with clear toning paints; build the golden shade of beer up in the lower part of the glass and suggest the foam with a dot of matte white. Empty glasses need only be gone over with gloss varnish so that they look glassy. Do not use opaque paints over the whole glass; they would kill the impression of transparency.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
