A basic photo-etched set from Aber in 1:35 scale in brass. It serves to sharpen a plastic model of the British Sherman Vc Firefly tank. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic parts with thin metal features of true engraving.
The Sherman Firefly was a British conversion of the American Sherman medium tank, armed with the powerful 17-pounder anti-tank gun. Thanks to it the Firefly could hit even the heavy German tanks, and it became one of the most effective Allied tanks of the closing stage of the Second World War.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and shape the bends on a bending tool or over a metal edge. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. Finish the hull and the turret first, and only then add the fine photo-etched features.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
