Black Dog 1:35 Canadian equipment — accessories set is a resin set of the kit and equipment of Canadian units in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory set in 1:35 scale focused on the kit and equipment of Canadian units. It is not a kit and it is not tied to one particular model — it is a collection of loose castings that can be used on a vehicle, on a base and loose in a scene. That versatility is precisely its main strength: the set serves as a store of small items the modeler draws on as needed. The exact make-up and the number of parts are stated on the packaging of the set.
Kit is what gives a scene its scale and its action. Packs, pouches, helmets, crates and tarpaulins laid on a fender or leaning against a wall read as a trace of people, even when there is no figure in the scene. On vehicles they fill the empty areas a kit leaves bare and break up the uniform color. The set can be split between several models, so it gets used again and again.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a sharp knife; do not break them. Sand wet and do not breathe the dust. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Lay down a thin primer before painting. With kit it pays to work from a darker base toward lighter highlights: a wash and a dry brush bring out the folds of canvas and leather better than an even coat. Metal buckles and clasps need only be suggested with a fine brush, or with a gentle rub of graphite.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
